Matthew 8:2,3 "And behold, a leper came to Him and knelt before Him, saying, "Lord, if you will, you can make me clean." And Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I will; be clean."
Hunger is ubiquitous so mouths cry out for food.
Goosebumps follow cold so hands reach out for warmth.
Unfilled pleasures yearn so minds think oft of dreams.
Self directed help always follow wants.
But “make me clean”? A need from helpless souls flows.
Words are only words, and fade when sound subsides.
But words that join with need? A petition quickly speaks.
And standing over Time, Jesus speaks, “ I will, be clean.”
