"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24)
Every Christian is bi-lingual, although none are fully fluent while below heaven and above ground. The first language that we speak is all about what we know and learn in the earth through the senses, that which is temporal and temporary. The second tongue is learned from heaven.
What the first language calls courage is actually false hope in human devices.
What the first language calls false hope is often Christian courage to believe and act on the unseen.
Biblical courage is not the absence of fear. It is the belief that something else is more important than those fears, with a willingness to leave the consequences of obedience to God. Given that the courageous as well as the cowards die, we should ponder a question: The courageous die, but do the cowards ever Live?
Absolute answers depend on which language is being used. The language of the Unseen Eternal God or of the seen, temporal, ever-changing, human reason?
Whatever others do my beloved, the courageous simply attend to the Master’s business.
