Bi-Lingual: Liberty

derb4262

"But now that you have been set free from sin and have become servants of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life." (Romans 6:22)

"And I will walk at liberty: For I seek Thy precepts" (Psalm 119:45)

Every Christian is bi-lingual, although none are fully fluent while below heaven and above ground. The mother tongue is all about what we know and learn in the earth through the senses, which is temporal and temporary. The second tongue is learned from heaven.

Liberty in the mother tongue (political, mental or physical) is opposition to tyrannies while simultaneously willing to choose the right, and sacrifice, without fear. Liberties in the mother tongue, come and go in the earth but they all end in death (mother tongue).

Liberty in the second tongue is opposition to the tyranny of sin, in self and others, while simultaneously free to choose the right, and fail, without fear. This liberty comes only in Christ as complete redemption that never ends. This liberty is freedom from fear of death.

Living with liberty takes courage and sacrifice, because whether defined by the mother tongue or learned from heaven, it always costs to remain free. Along with all Truths in heaven's tongue, none love liberty for free, but all that love it do so at any cost.
