Come Out

derb4262

Revelation 18:4 "then I heard another voice from heaven say: Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;"

When a believer separates him or herself from things of the world....

...it is not because he or she wants to be saved, it is because he or she is saved already.

...it is not because he or she wants to earn something, it is in response to the Earner.

...and it is not even so that he or she may approach the Cross, because he or she will have already come from kneeling at it.

Already saved, he or she hears the voice of God say 'come out'. No longer satisfied with what the world has to offer, he or she begins to respond by letting go of things that were or are tightly held, and reaching out for eternal realities. Gradually, he or she moves away from the seen, toward the Unseen, and from the temporal toward the permanent.
