"I will give her...the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she will sing...like in the days of her youth, and like the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt." (Hosea 2:15)
When the proximate, mediant, and ultimate components of Bible verses are studied, the deeper meanings are understood. To conduct such a study requires the use of all 66 books, with several other reference materials. I've studied Hosea 2:15 in that way, so you'll have to take my word for the ultimate conclusions I've recorded below, but it would be even better if you studied it yourself. (2 Timothy 2:15)
In Hosea 2:15, the ultimate meanings are as follows: "her" refers to the church universal; the "valley of Achor" to life on earth where the wages of sin is death; a "door of hope" to Jesus Christ; "in the days of her youth" to God's revelation of Christ in flesh as the 'seed' promised to Abraham; and "came up out of the land of Egypt" to emancipation from sin's bondage.
I conclude that following any difficulty, believers in Jesus Christ will sing like Miriam and Moses did after the Red Sea (Exodus 15) because in Christ, every difficulty is a door of Hope opening closer to the Promised Land. Believe me, the door of promise requires more than standing sadly on the outer side.
