"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you". (Psalm 119:11)
My Beloved Children,
The human teacher that taught me the most was the wickedest person I've encountered interpersonally. Through him, among many other things, I learned that God's Word is not a prop. This teacher literally never did more with the Word of God than move the bookmark from one page to the next one day at a time, and carry that same Bible as a show prop for Sunday services. It all appeared very proper to the naive observer.
There is a world of difference, my loved ones, between a physical Bible and the Word of God hidden in the heart of a believer, where the Spirit of God has written it. May your souls learn more from me than to be bookmarkers, page turners, and showmen.
I have no control over the Holy Spirit's work in the inner world of the human heart of others, let alone you, my dear ones. No matter how 'good' or 'bad' you are, or how obedient or unruly you are, only God can change your hearts. In love for you I practice the daily habit of asking God that "all your (my) children may be taught by the Lord, that great may be their peace with God." (Isaiah 54:13) Truthfully, neither I nor any of my loved ones deserve to be drawn into fellowship with God, any more than any other person in the world.
But thanks be to God for His promise and faithfulness in giving life to souls, enabling them to call on His name, to work out His Word, and exemplify His ideal from generation to generation, when parents and grandparents are humbly calling on the mercies of God!
