Psalm 119:160 "The sum of Your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever."
God's purposes will speak for themselves in due time, but the Light of Christ and the Order of Truth are always available to still the noise of present confusion. Rather than praying for a change in circumstance, try praying for a change of heart. It may be, and likely is, that a purpose of God in challenging circumstances is minimally and intimately connected to a need for a change of heart.
