Thessalonians 5:16-17 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you".
To "pray without ceasing" is more than frequently regulated, scheduled conversations between you and God. It is primarily to live in a joyful, ready stance pre-oriented toward trust and thanksgiving while the circumstances of God's sovereign will emerge one moment at a time and to engage in regulated scheduled and unregulated spontaneous conversations between you and God.
Pray when you're happy, rejoicing and glad,
Pray when you're weary and bloody and worn,
Pray when you're angry, rebelling, and sad,
Pray in the daylight, nighttime, or morn.
Live toward God in Jesus Christ.
