Return from Christmas Day

derb4262

The holiday has come and gone and "my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared in the presence of all the peoples: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel." (Luke 2:30-32)

May our souls return from celebration like stray sheep to the "Shepherd and Guardian of our souls", to Jesus (1 Peter 2:25). The marvelous blessings of food, drink, family, fun, and gifts were only faded physical pictures of the fully realized blessings we receive through the life-long tending of Jesus Christ. When the physical pictures of celebration fade, may the spiritual reality shine more brightly.

  • Bread of Life

  • Living Water

  • The Family of God;

  • Fellowship before the Throne.

  • Jesus, the Christ - gift begotten of the Father.

"But the path of the just is as a shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: They know not at what they stumble. My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Proverbs 4:18-23
