Sun-Making Son of Righteousness,
eyes of earth may look on sun's bright light,
yet souls in darkness miss Your Light. (John 8:12)
Giver of Light, ignite our souls,
fan the feeble flame, quench not the spark.
t'ward radiant face to face prepare. (1 Cor. 13:12).
Divine Christ child, Maker of a Way,
illuminate a path beneath the sun,
t'ward life above with You, transform. (2 Cor. 3:18)
Tiny babe,
hailed by heaven's host,
rise in my soul today,
and never set.
Reigning Lord,
consume my darkness,
disperse the looming clouds,
of doubt and fear.
Holy Wisdom,
renew my mind for -
in You all other things,
are rightly seen.
