Christ followers spend their earthly lives vacillating between despair and presumption, even though in Christ, they'll enjoy all of eternity with His perfect balance.
Grow in the balance of hope in the Lord. Minimize over-focus on commands--what you think you've done right or wrong, or how good or bad you are. Minimize over-focus on promises--thinking about what you have to deal with but shouldn't, or what you think you should have and don't. Hope in the Lord because Christ the Lord has already fulfilled all the commands so that you receive all the promises.
"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy and lovingkindness, O Lord, endures forever-forsake not the works of Your own hands" Psalm 138:8.
