"I Am Alpha And Omega, The Beginning and The Ending," saith the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8)
Before there was anything there was perfect love and unity between the members of the Godhead. (John 17:24, 2 Corinthians 13:14) Throughout all of history the Father is willing, the Son is working, and the Spirit is applying. (Psalm 90:1-2, Isaiah 61:1, Matthew 3:16-17, John 14:26, John 5:26, John 14:16-17)
After all of history has passed, and everything on this earth gives way to the New Heaven and New Earth, there will be perfect love between the members of the Godhead as there always was, and with the adopted siblings of Christ. (Galatians 4:6, Matthew 12:48-50) That is why the Father is willing, the Son working, and the Spirit is applying.
Are you confused, discouraged, or otherwise discombobulated, anywhere between mild and extreme? Take a look at the bigger picture. Until Jesus meets us and we cross over to the promised land, abundant life in Him must progress in a growing awareness of the bigger and biggest picture. The practical result of that progress is to become less anxious to see far down the road; not overly concerned about the next step; not too eager to choose a self-designed path; and not consumed with the worry of future responsibilities.
